More than one in five (22%) SMEs fear they could be forced out of business over problems paying tax bills in the next five years, new research1 from Premium Credit, a leading provider of finance for businesses, shows.

Following FCA approval the sale of Premium Credit, from Cinven to funds managed by TowerBrook Capital Partners, the London and New York-based international investment firm, has been completed.

As the FCA sends out Top Up fee invoices to qualifying regulated firms, Premium Credit is offering business’ a finance facility to spread the cost over convenient monthly repayments rather than having to pay in one lump sum.

Over the next 12 months, 36% of SMEs expect to see their income grow, compared to just one in four (24%) who anticipate it will fall. Some 12% of businesses expect to see double digit growth in their revenue.
